Feel Good Again
About Me
Hi, my name is Liz. I’m a Transformative Counsellor. I’ve worked as a counsellor since 2013 and started in private practice in 2015.
I support people who are used to putting other first, often at the expense of their own wellbeing. They're thoughtful, empathetic and capable but somewhere along the way they've lost touch with who they are and what they need. Whether they're burned out, navigating a life change or simply feeling overwhelmed by the weight of others' expectations, I offer a space where they can pause and reconnect with themselves.
I often think about how life can feel like swimming against the tide, trying so hard to stay afloat, to keep going, to do what's expected, even when we're running on empty. Many of the people I work with know that feeling all too well. They're kind, capable and endlessly giving but beneath the surface, they're tired of struggling.
In our work together, I offer space to stop and breathe. To pause the fight and look at things from a different perspective. Sometimes, that gentle shift, from swimming to floating, is what begins to bring clarity. It's not about giving up. It's about finding a quieter kind of strength. The kind that says, "I can rest. I can choose. I don't have to do this the hard way anymore."
Therapy with me is client-led and steady. I won't tell you what to do but I will help you gently explore what you're feeling, especially the parts you've been keeping inside to protect others. Together, we'll make space for your voice, your needs and your goals.
I come to this work not only as a trained therapist but as someone who's been through it too. I know what it's like to lose yourself in caring for others and what it takes to find your way back. That experience sits quietly at the heart of how I hold space for others: with warmth, patience and deep respect for your pace.
My Approach
Over time, my clients begin to feel different in themselves - lighter, clearer, more energised. Their confidence starts to return, not in a loud or forced way, but in a quiet, grounded sense of knowing who they are. One of the biggest shifts I see is how they begin to let go of an outdated story they've been carrying - a version of themselves shaped by burnout, people-pleasing or past pain.
Together, we work on gently detaching from that old narrative, so they can step into who they are now. They begin to make choices that feel aligned. They start asking for what they need and one gentle step at a time, they begin to feel like they're allowed to take up space in their own life again.
Who I Work With
I support kind, capable people who've spent years putting others first, often at the cost of their own wellbeing or career. They come to me tired, overwhelmed and unsure how to ask for what they need. Together, we create space to pause, reconnect and gently rewrite the story they've been telling themselves. One step at a time, they begin to feel like themselves again - more confident, more energised and more free to live life on their own terms.
